Spring in the meadow

Every year the meadow greens up faster than expected. One week it is mud and the next there is a haze of color running right up to the barn wall.

The flock treats it as an enormous open buffet. They spend the whole day out there and come back at dusk looking extremely pleased with themselves.

This is the best stretch of the year for the farm tour that comes with any art session. The light is soft, the ground is finally walkable, and there is more to draw out there than you could get through in a day.
