Through the lens
Landscape Photography
The farm sits where the valley opens up to the mountain, and the sky does most of the talking. The sunrises and sunsets are where the colors shine — a few minutes of gold, magenta, and rose that you can’t quite mix on a palette. Here is the light we keep coming back out to chase, captured from the gate, the pasture, and the studio porch.

Evenings on the farm are when the light earns its keep. Framed through the cedar at the gate, the snow-capped peak catches the last warm gold of the sun while the fence line settles into cool shadow — the moment every painter out here is chasing.

The sky catches fire
Magenta Twilight
Some evenings the clouds do the painting for us. A column of magenta-pink light rises over the pasture, layered against storm-grey and lavender above the fenceline — pure pigment you can't mix on a palette.

Soft Light on the Peak
When the sun drops low, the snow takes on the color of the sky around it. Here the peak holds a soft rose while orange and pink clouds drift over the rolling fields — a quiet, unhurried end to the day.

Everything turned gold
The Farm, Aglow
A few nights a season the whole farm goes amber at once — the outbuildings, the tractor, the standing hay, and the low cloud all bathed in deep orange. These are the sunsets we wait all year to see from the studio porch.
