Loading the Watercolor Palettes

White watercolor palettes freshly loaded with glossy dabs of paint in bright blues, greens, reds, yellows and browns

I love loading watercolor paint palettes to let them dry. Look at all the paint that needs used! So many possibilities…

Every palette on the studio table got a fresh round today — blues, greens, reds, ochres — laid down thick so it cures right in the well and waits for the next painter who picks up a brush.

And the paper — the Arches 300lb cold pressed, 18x30" sheets. Precious. Fresh paper is stacked and ready beside the palettes, and there's a brand-new set of tubes to work through too. Half the joy of a studio day is this part: everything set, nothing started yet.

Come use them with us — a session, a camp, or an afternoon of your own. The palettes are loaded.
