Three hot air balloons, and one that brushed a tree

Three hot air balloons drifted over the farm in June 2026, and one of them came so low it brushed the tops of the trees.

They are such a fun surprise out here. You look up from the pasture and there they are — big, bright and drifting along, in no hurry at all.

The patchwork one hung right over the tree line, close enough to touch, while the rainbow one floated out over the fields with Mount Rainier glowing pink behind it.

A perfect June morning, and exactly the kind of surprise the farm hands you when you happen to be looking up.

Out over the pastures, with the mountain on the horizon.
Mount Rainier glowing pink, and a balloon to go with it.
