We're up to 60 yards of Hog Fuel

A white chip truck parked on the farm driveway having just tipped out a huge mound of dark wood chips, with a staked sapling, an overturned red boat and trees under a bright cloudy sky

A second delivery came today, and we are up to 60 yards of Hog Fuel wood chips out here.

Back on October 2 I wrote about learning what hog fuel chips are — 30 yards in one load, the byproduct of processing lumber. Today's delivery doubled that.

It all goes to work in the end: the base of amazing nutrients for the garden, and a warm, soft home for the pigs out by the pen.

Sixty yards is a serious mound — and every bit of it is going somewhere good.
