We're up to 90 yards of Hog Fuel

A white chip dump truck parked on the farm field under a big blue sky of scattered clouds with the sun breaking through brightly above the tree line

The third load of hog fuel wood chips came today, and just as the truck tipped it out, the sun broke through the clouds like it wanted a look too.

That makes 90 yards so far — thirty yards a load, three loads deep this fall.

The driver climbed right up on top of the load to cut the tarp loose, and the chips came out in a great brown wave that piled up fast beside the shelter.

With the help of all my farm volunteers, every yard is finding somewhere good to go — garden beds, paths, and a warm, deep bed for the pigs out by the pen.

Ninety yards and counting.
