What a Morning!

A frosty pasture at sunrise with fog over the far field, autumn maples framing the view and Mount Rainier rising snow-capped in the distance

What a morning! I went up to Edmonds and back down, had lunch with my sister, and was home in time for our second farm feeding.

The farm had frost on the fields when I got up — the whole pasture silver and the mountain standing over it all. The pigs had found the leaf pile and the last of the morning sun, and nobody was in any hurry to move.

I painted my glasses and put on makeup. It must be getting dark these late fall days.
