York & Miku come to stay

York the small shaggy dog trotting through a frosty pasture with Mount Rainier rising behind him

We have two new foster friends on the farm — York, a little dog, and Miku, a calico cat. They came to stay with us while their person recovers in the hospital, and they'll go home just as soon as she's back on her feet.

York is hilarious, old, and incredibly overweight, and he is living his best life out here. I love how old and set in their ways they both are. York has his routine and his opinions, and Miku does exactly what Miku decides to do. It's been a joy watching them settle in.

They'll have the run of the farm and plenty of company while they wait — and we'll spoil them a little in the meantime.
