The fall equinox, and the weather rolls in

Mount Rainier beneath sweeping layers of autumn clouds, with the farm fence and trees in the foreground

The fall equinox was on the 22nd, and the weather rolled in. The sky has been putting on a show over Mount Rainier — layers of clouds moving across the mountain, then opening up to let a little light through.

I stood out by the field and took it all in. The same view changes so much from one day to the next, and this time of year it feels like the whole farm is shifting with it.

I love the changes of season. There is something about watching summer give way to fall that makes me pause and look a little longer.
