The full Harvest Moon lights up the night sky

It is the Full Harvest Moon today. Last night, the moon lit up the night sky — so bright over the farm that the field and the trees were lit up like daytime, and the barn and the house glowed underneath it.

After yesterday's storm, it is a busy day. Cleaning up the tarps and shades, making feed for the animals, keeping everything moving. There is always plenty to do out here, and the clear air after a storm makes the work feel good instead of heavy.

I am reveling in this beautiful fall day. The light, the coolness, the way the farm settles into autumn — this is the season I love most.
