Inside the greenhouse
The greenhouse went up late last spring, tucked in beside the barn where it catches the first sun. It is a wood-framed, translucent-panelled room — nothing fancy — and it has become the warmest corner of the farm before the day gets going.
Step inside and there are potting benches along the walls, trays of starts hardening off, and a hanging basket or two waiting for the right week to go out into the meadow. Everything in here is still getting its legs, which is half the charm of it.
Take a quick look around in the video above. And if you come for a session, the greenhouse is part of the walk out to the pasture — bring a sketchbook, because the seedlings and the slanting light are worth a few minutes of drawing.
