The storm rolls through the farm

Dark storm clouds sweeping across a rural valley toward distant blue mountains, with the farm's green field, fence, and sunflowers in the foreground

The wind and rain was invigorating as the storm rolled through today. There I was, running around anchoring tarps and taking down sun shades before the sky let loose.

I was glad last night's guests left just as the skies darkened. They left a lovely note in the guest book before they went — a real treasure to come inside to after a scramble in the wind.

There is nothing like a good storm to make the farm feel alive.
