The Art Mobile hits the road

The Art Mobile is exactly what it sounds like — a tiny wooden studio built on wheels, small enough to tow out to a pasture, a festival, or the end of someone's driveway. It has a door, a window for light, and just enough room inside for a table, a few easels, and the kinds of mess that make a good afternoon.
The idea was simple. The barn studio is wonderful, but not everyone can come to the farm. So we put a studio on a trailer and brought the farm out to them. The doors open up the same way they do at home — brushes set out, aprons ready, no requirement to know how to paint.
So far the Art Mobile has parked beside the meadow at golden hour, which is when the photograph above was taken. The plan is to take it to a few local events this fall and to offer private sessions where the studio comes to you — a birthday, a neighborhood gathering, a long afternoon with friends.
If you have a spot you'd like the Art Mobile to roll up to, give the farm a call and we'll talk through the details. It is small, it is cozy, and it turns out a little studio on wheels is a very good way to make art happen just about anywhere.
