Last night Zach worked to smelt silver off of copper

The torch flame with a bright green tip where the copper is burning, held in tongs over gravel

Last night Zach worked to smelt silver off of copper.

The green flame shows the copper burning, and the red piece falling off is the silver — he is collecting it to make jewelry.

Out in the open air as the sun went down, the torch roared and the metal glowed, one drop at a time going into his collection.
