The hot air balloons were out over the farm

Two hot air balloons — one red and white checkered, one multi-colored with a green base — floating over the barn and farmhouse, a large evergreen tree framing the left side

The hot air balloons were out today, and what a beautiful day it was out here on the farm.

They floated right over the barn and the farmhouse — a red-and-white one and a green one together — with Mount Rainier standing behind them in the clear sky. You could hear the occasional roar of the burners, and the animals all stopped to look up.

Out here you get used to the quiet, and then something like this comes drifting over the fields and you remember how much sky there really is above this place. It was the kind of morning that makes you glad you're here.

Even the tractor got a view of the show.
